Trail Ridge Rd / Beaver Meadow Rd
From Estes Park, the byway follows both U.S. Highway 34 and the Beaver Meadow Road (U.S. 36) into Rocky Mountain National Park. These legs join at Trail Ridge Road—the country’s highest paved federal highway—which reaches 12,183 feet before descending into the upper Colorado River Valley and Grand Lake.
